On the basis of a tax levied on the taxable person, the state shall collect EUR 134.6 million for the first three months on the taxable person’s taxable transaction, and thus for the months of April to June. This stems from the data so far processed by the Financial Administration of the Slovak Republic and the Ministry of Finance (MF) of the Slovak Republic. The resort has adapted the overall selection estimate for current changes, while the original EUR 550 million is currently expected to withdraw EUR 420 million.
“During the year, there have been facts that have a fundamental impact on the overall yield. The first is the legislative amendments that came in three amendments to the law and came to meet several entities by being exempt from tax (charity non -profit organizations, schools, health insurance payments, etc.). Another reason is the overall development of the economy, which is worse compared to the original prerequisite at the time of budget creation. As a result of global uncertainty associated with US duties, the economic growth slowed down by half compared to the original estimates, ”explained the Ministry of Finance of the Slovak Republic.
On this basis, the Ministry reduced the estimate of the amount collected on transaction tax from April to December this year from the original EUR 550 million to the current EUR 420 million. This should be fully in accordance with the latest expectations of the Ministry of Finance of the Slovak Republic, which reflect the objective facts that have occurred during the year.
The finance department will analyze data from taxables in the coming weeks and will subsequently update the tax collection forecasts for this year and next year. The exact estimate of the tax collection for 2025 and 2026 will be the subject of discussion of the Tax Forecasting Committee in September and the definitive confirmation of the tax collection for this year will be known at the end of January 2026, added MF SR.
