Tarcísio de Freitas government announced R $ 1.5 billion in ICMS and each company can ask for up to R $ 120 million
The Government of Sao Paulo announced on Wednesday (30.Jul.2025) emergency measures to support São Paulo exporters affected by those imposed by the United States. Credit offer hits $ 400 million and loan requests can already be made.
The package includes the release of R $ 1.5 billion in accumulated ICMS credits, through the Proactive Program, and the expansion of the exporting line of credit from R $ 200 million to R $ 400 million.
“This is the biggest credit release in the history of São Paulo”said the governor (Republicans). According to him, the goal is to preserve the competitiveness of the industry from São Paulo and protect jobs.
ICMS release will be directed to exporting companies with transferable credits. Each company may request up to R $ 120 million.
Approved payments will be made in up to 10 installments, scheduled to start in September.
Already the exporter, operated by Develope SP, will have interest from 0.27% per month more IPCA. The payment term is up to 60 months, with 1 year of grace.
Tarcisio estimates that US tariffs can cause retraction of. According to him, sectors such as coffee, steel, orange and aviation will be the most affected.
