The Haag-Austria’s national basketball team started with a narrow defeat in the second phase of the World Cup pre-qualification. The Austrians had to surrender to the Netherlands with 64:65 (35:34) on Saturday in the Hague of the NBA star Jakob Pöltl. Pöltl was the best scorer with 16 points in Austria. In addition, eleven rebounds, four steals and four blocks of the center from the Toronto Raptors were not enough for the ÖBV team.
