FC Schalke 04 has given its new coach Miron Muslic a victorious competitive debut. The team of the 42-year-old Austrian won the season opening game in the second German football Bundesliga against Hertha BSC in front of more than 62,000 spectators on Friday (2-0). With this, Muslic immediately sparked a small euphoria, after all, Hertha was considered a promotion favorite – whereas Schalke narrowly missed the relegation into the third division last season.
