Senator Humberto Costa compared the case of former president of the neighboring country with Lula’s, who was arrested during Operation Lava Jato
PT President Senator said on Saturday (2) that former Argentina president, is the target of a “clear” case of Lawfare-the use of the judicial system to pursue political opponents. The statement was made during a party meeting in Brasilia. “As happened in Brazil with President Lula, today we have an absolutely clear case against former President Cristina Kirchner,” said Costa, along with an Argentine justicialist party leader.
The senator also recalled the solidarity of the Argentines to Lula during the period when the former president was arrested. “Cristina is our ally, a companion with great political representativeness. The goal of Argentine justice is precisely to prevent her from continuing to lead the opposition to the far -right president, Javier Milei,” he said.
