Regulates to the root: the deforestation regulations go far too far

What was intended as a protective measure for the rainforest becomes the bureaucratic hurdle for Europe’s wooden industry. The new EU renovation regulation (Eudr) shoots far beyond its goal: instead of talky against deforestation in risk regions, it even covers the smallest companies with a disproportionate administrative effort.
