SHMI issues a warning: most of Slovakia will hit the storms with hail over the weekend!

Storms may occur in the western half of Slovakia from the later afternoon. The Slovak Hydrometeorological Institute (SHMI) issued a warning of them.

“Storms can be associated with a sharp downpour with an intensity of 20 – 30 mm/30 min, with wind impacts that can reach a speed of 65-85 km/has hail,” concretized by meteorologists a warning that pays from 17.00 h until Sunday (3. 8.) Morning in the districts Bratislava, Trnava, Nitra, Trenčianskeho, Žilina and parts of the Banská Bystrica region.

SHMI also draws attention to The risk of damage that can cause intense rain, strong wind and hail on property and vegetation.
