The July weather proved to be very variable when the heat suddenly alternated storms that caused floods in some regions. The atmosphere was more like autumn than summer days. August also brings a number of uncertainties and questions about further weather development. According to meteorologists from the climate change, the climate change remains unpredictable.
The weather in our territory is now influenced by the pressure height, which will be moved through the Czech Republic and Slovakia towards the southeast in the next period. Thanks to it we can expect mostly sunny and extremely warm weather.
The following days will be calm, but then the cold front will start to intervene in our area. From Saturday (August 2), the situation should be stabilized again and returned to a summer. It looks like another wave of strong heat awaits us.
During the second week of August, specifically from August 5, another pressure altitude should settle over our territory. Slovakia is waiting for a new wave of sunny days, while temperatures will gradually rise.
In the coming days, the pressure height will gradually move further to the southeast, and its center will find itself east of our territory. This will open the space for the supply of very warm air from the southwest, namely from Africa. Thanks to this flow, another wave of extreme heat arrives, which can expel temperatures up to 37 to 38 ° C. Tropical weather will hit almost all of Slovakia.
Around 8 August, but no later than 10 August, should our territory be found under the influence of the furrow of lower air pressure. Nevertheless, warmer air will continue to flow to us, but this time with higher humidity. It is this combination that increases the likelihood of storms.
During the second decade of August, ie approximately 20 August, The weather was supposed to be variable with frequent afternoon showers and storms. In the hottest areas of Slovakia, temperatures will continue to climb above 30 ° C. At the end of the month, however, a more stable and calmer summer weather is expected, without significant heat or intense storms.
