The LGBT community rights festival started at Wenceslas Square and its aim was a letwan plain. The program will continue at Letná, where participants can see concerts on six stages.
The streets of the Czech capital on Saturday passed the Pride to support the rights of the LGBT community. The participants started the parade on Wenceslas Square and their goal was a letwid plain. Several marching carried rainbow flags in their hands, but also flags of the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary or the EU. Some have also included a group that highlighted the humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip. TASR informs about this according to CT24 TV and Novinky.cz portal.
Several politicians participated in Pride
The march gradually passed through the streets of Prague’s streets to the Old Town Square from where he continued with the Czech Bridge to the Leté Plaňa. Several politicians, as well as representatives of several embassies and companies, participated in Pride.
The drummers were at the forefront of the march and during the accompaniment they took care of the DJ in several places located on the route. The program will continue at Letná, where participants can see concerts on six stages.

There were also several opponents of the parade on the streets, but both groups were separated by the police. Hundreds of police officers, including an anticonflication team, were supervised by the event. No struggles among people in the streets noticed.
“LGBT people in the Czech Republic are still waiting for their full rights. The Prague Pride festival is the main reminder. We are not just a multi -genre festival that people can have to entertain, learn something and come to musical performances, but we are also an educational festival.
The Prague Pride march took place for the first time in August 2011. At that time, it provoked stormy protests of the conservative part of the company. Last year, about 60,000 people attended the event.
