Pilot Gabriel Bortoleto, 20, won his best result in his F1 debut season on Sunday. The young Brazilian of Sauber completed the Hungary GP in sixth place, in a race that was doubled from McLaren.
The victory at the Hungaroring circuit in the city of Mogyorod was from Briton Lando Norris, closely followed by teammate, Australian Oscar Pistri. The podium completed British George Russell from Mercedes.
The championship leadership is still Pastri, now with 284 points, but has diminished his advantage to Norris, which adds 275. The current F1 champion, Dutchman Max Verstappen with 187, appears in a distant third place.
Already Bortoleto more than doubled his score. The Brazilian had six points, the result of an eighth place in Austria and a ninth in Belgium. With the great race held in Hungary, it reached 14 and took the 17th place overall this season.
