With the fever of “Strawberry of Love”, sweet that has viralized on social networks in recent weeks, criminals have started scams in Rio Grande do Sul, through false promotions announced on profiles that demanded payment and never delivered the product to customers.
According to the director of the State Department of Cyber Crimes, Delegate Eibert Moreira Neto, the suspects created the fake profiles on social networks and simulated a Sweet sales platform.
Scammers provided PIX key for payment, but did not deliver the product. According to the delegate, two police reports involving the same type of crime were identified.
