Several members of the Special Group of Underwater Activities (GEAS) of the Civil Guard have recovered this morning the lifeless bodies of the pilot and his son who accompanied him on the plane that fell this Saturday to the sea, In waters at a depth of about 30 meters, in front of the Soller lighthouse, north of Mallorca.
The rescue of both bodies has been carried out at approximately 13:00 hours by the GEAS, within the search operation formed between emergencies, maritime rescue, the Navy, the Air Army and the Civil Guard, the armed institute reported in a statement. The lifeless bodies of the pilot and his son have been transferred to the port of Soller.
The bipplaza acrobatic plane fell to the sea this Saturday, around 20:00, in front of the Port de Sóller lighthouse, about 100 meters from the coastline. He had taken off from the Binissalem airfield at 6:00 p.m.
