Ceará and Flamengo face each other on Sunday night (3) for the 18th round of Serie A of the Brazilian Championship. However, even before the ball rolled, the home team fans made a provocation to the flamenco players at the Castelão Arena in Fortaleza.

As soon as the players climbed the lawn, which cheer for Southeast teams, especially the red-black. “I have a club to cheer,” said the message from Vozão fans.

Criticism of fans who choose to wear the team shirt from another state are frequent in Northeast team games, especially in major clashes. Recent censuses that estimate the number of fans of Brazilian teams, such as research CNN/Itatiaia2024, point Flamengo as the club with the most fans in the country, followed by Corinthians and Palmeiras.

Much of this number, however, includes fans residing in northern and northeastern states. Fla himself, even, takes advantage of this situation to take games out of Rio de Janeiro.

This Sunday, Arena Castelão receives a large audience for the confrontation between Ceará and Flamengo, for the Brasileirão.
