Corinthians arrived at the fourth game in a row without winning in the Brazilian Championship lighting the warning sign – has only one victory in the last nine rounds – but at least avoided a tragic defeat at home to Fortaleza. Carrillo’s cried goal in the second half decreed the 1-1 draw in Itaquera and kept the Timon with a reasonable distance from the relegation zone, although the more than the competition games concern. Filled with reservations, Dorival Júnior’s team created chances in the first half – the best of them with Romero, who once again frustrated the Faithful losing easy goal to score – but went to the break losing. After a fool of the defender, Bruno Lopes scored.

The alvinegro came back from the break with Matheuzinho, Garro, Memphis Depay and Yuri Alberto in the places of Felix Torres, Ryan, Talles Magno and Romero. Even so, he had difficulty pressing and only stifled Fortaleza when coach Renato Paiva took all his speed options. There were several crosses. And in one of them, the ball was left for Carillo, the other to enter the team, push to the goal after goalkeeper Vinicius Silvestre. Explosion in the crowd, which, however, was not satisfied, as the screams of “It’s Wednesday.” In three days, Corinthians decides a place in the quarterfinals of the Brazilian Cup with rival Palmeiras, at Casa Alviverde.
