Couple rescued after 12 hours trapped in a escarpment between beaches of Sintra

A 32 -year -old Russian nationality couple and she was 37, was retained for at least 12 hours on a escarpment located between the beaches of Adraga and Horse, in the municipality of Sintra. The rescue took place on the morning of last Saturday with the aid of surfers who spotted the couple in trouble.

According to an official source of the National Maritime Authority (AMN), the victims explained that they arrived at around 8 pm on Friday. They did not realize the climb of the tide and ended up being cornered over a rock, unable to return safely.

A video captured by drone, and shared on Youtube, shows the moment of rescue, with several surfers to collaborate to remove the couple from the risk zone, facing a considerable ripple.

Almocageme firefighters were at the scene, but the couple refused hospital transportation, choosing to leave their own means.
