Hundreds of Israeli ex officials ask Trump for the end of the war in Gaza
Hundreds of Israeli ex officers have signed a letter in which they demand from the president of the United States, Donald Trump, who presses the Israel government to put an end to his offensive in the Gaza Strip. “Your credibility before the majority of Israelis raises your ability to influence Prime Minister Netanyahu and his government in the right direction,” says the officers in the letter, which begins with the so -called “ends the war!”
The letter is signed by about 550 people on behalf of the CIS, a group that has the largest number of army exgenerals and the Mosad, the Shin Bet, the police and the diplomatic bodies, in whose name they ask the American tycoon “to end the war in Gaza”.
The letter includes the firms of the head of the Matan Vilnai General Staff; the ex -leader of Shin Bet Ami Ayalon; the ex -leader of Mosad Tamir Pardo; the one who was police commissioner Assaf Hefetz; and the former director of the Jeremy Issacharoff Foreign Ministry.
In the text they ensure that the correct direction goes through the offensive in Gaza, recovering the 50 hostages that follow in the enclave and forge a regional and international coalition that helps the Palestinian National Authority (ANP), which governs in reduced parts of the West Bank due to the Israeli occupation, “to offer the gazaties and all the Palestinians an alternative to Hamas and its perverse ideology ”.
However, this hypothetical future for the Palestinians with the ANP passes through this institution is reformed, they say in the letter, without detailing how. “The Army achieved the two objectives that could be achieved by force: dismantling the military and government formations of Hamas. The third and most important can only be achieved with an agreement: bringing all the hostages home,” they claim. Based on this, they sentence: “Pursuing the high positions of Hamas can be done later. Our hostages cannot wait.” (EFE)
