Spanish rescue services are investigating today in search of two passengers of a two -seater, crashing at sea last night, off the island, in the Balearic archipelago, was known by the Spanish militia.
The accident occurred around 20.00 on Saturday (21.00 Greece) in an area near the Soler Port Lighthouse, located on the northern part of the island, according to a brief Spanish police press release.
The lightweight aircraft, which had taken off from a Mallorca airport two hours earlier, crashed into the sea, 100 meters from the coast, a passenger passenger of a boat witnessed the incident told police.
According to the local press, it was an aerobic aircraft maneuvering in the sky before the accident.
The rescue teams, which have so far retrieved part of the shipwreck, are continuing investigations into the two passengers in this area, where the depth of water reaches up to 30 meters.
The identity of the two occupants is not currently known.
