Milei vetos retirement increase approved by the Argentine Congress

Argentina’s president, Javier Milei, vetoed on Monday (4) an increase in pensions and a bill that reinforced the protection of people with disabilities, that parliamentarians had passed in July, saying they endanger tax balance.

“The administration of public resources must be carried out responsibly and in accordance with public purposes and the principle of good administration,” said a decree published in the Official Gazette.
