Public Prosecution Service investigates estelionato, theft and criminal association in previous management of the club after finding a facade company
The (São Paulo Public Prosecution Service) expanded on Sunday (3.ago.2025) the investigation into the to investigate possible crimes of estelionate, qualified theft, ideological falsehood and criminal association in previous management of the club. The prosecution investigates the existence of a facade company that would have been used during the administration of former President Duilio Monteiro Alves. Here’s (PDF – 1 MB).
The procedure, initially focused on the misappropriation related to the use of corporate cards in Andrés Sanchez and Duilio Monteiro Alves, now includes a presidential expense report of October 2023. The prosecutor responsible for the case, Cassio Roberto Conseino, personally visited the address of the alleged establishment and found that there is no trade in place.
The document analyzed by the prosecutor reveals that the mini -market Oliveira issued 7 different invoices to Corinthians, totaling R $ 32,580, from October 18 to 31, 2023. The agency will also investigate other expenses present in the same report that suggests the use of club resources for personal purposes.
PIC (Criminal Investigation Procedure) was instituted last week, when the prosecutor requested several documents from the São Paulo club. In addition to former presidents Andrés Sanchez and Duilio Monteiro Alves, former Duilio driver Denilson Grillo is also being investigated for signed the document with suspicious expenses.
The Public Prosecution Service called for testimonials, such as witnesses, the interim president of Corinthians, Osmar Stabile, Vice Armando Mendonça and the Chairman of the Deliberative Council, Romeu Tuma Júnior. In the coming days, Roberto Gavioli, former manager of the financial area, and former director Matías Romano Ávila will also be heard.
The prosecutor recommended to Corinthians to “Immediate effective, autonomous and independent installation of internal control mechanisms, integrity, governance, risk prevention, programs, policies and good compliance code code”.

In a note sent to the Globo Esporte website, Andrés Sanchez’s defense said: “President Andrés had his accounts approved and is not concerned with the procedure. The amounts spent on the corporate card were all justified and personal expenses have been fully reimbursed to the club. The complaints are unfounded and aim to disrupt President Augusto Melo’s impeachment of impeachment of impeachment [marcada para 9 de agosto].
