The Army of Israel has confirmed the coordinated launch in the last hours of 136 pallets with humanitarian aid on the Gaza Strip in an operation that has had the participation of six countries, Belgium in particular, which has been incorporated for the first time to this kind of operations.
“An aerial launch of 136 pallets of food aid for residents of the north and south of Gaza were launched by the Israel defense forces, in coordination with the United Arab Emirates, Jordan, Egypt, France, Germany and Belgium,” said the Israeli army in a statement.
The Israeli administration in the occupied Palestinian territories, the COGAT, has reported that, during the past week, “more than 23,000 tons of humanitarian aid, stored in 1,200 trucks, entered Gaza and were successfully collected by the UN and international organizations.”
