A 19 -year -old girl was arrested last Sunday in Santo André, Sao Paulo (Brazil), for leaving her three -year -old daughter alone at home to go to a party. The situation became public after video surveillance chambers record the moment when the child, barefoot and only with a diaper, wandered alone down the street, crying and calling for his mother.
The child was found by employees of the Enel Energy Company, who were doing work in the area and immediately warned the Military Police.
The student, a student, admitted to the authorities that he left home while his daughter slept to go to a funk ball. According to the Secretariat of Public Security, there were already other previous complaints against the young woman for abandonment of the minor.
The child’s grandmother confirmed to the agents that this was not the first time this happened and revealed that she had already filed a complaint with the Santo André Guardianship Council. The body confirmed to have records of other similar occurrences.
The young woman was arrested in the act and the child was delivered to the care of the municipal reception service, according to the Santo André City Hall.
