Singer faces a serious pulmonary infection and financial difficulties for some years
After going through a tracheostomy, the singer, 75, spoke again last Thursday (31). The artist has been hospitalized since June at Silvestre Hospital, due to a severe pulmonary infection. Intensive treatment should continue in the coming days, but the composer is out of danger. The information was released by Carlos Eduardo Camper of Lyrio, Angela’s lawyer, in a press release.
“Her resilience made her find a way of speaking. However, physiotherapy will be needed for the full recovery of her voice,” the statement says. Still in the note, the lawyer said he is creating an official website to receive donations. The campaign is due to be launched on Tuesday (5).
Despite being one of the most famous names of national rock and MPB of the 1960s and 1970s, Angela has been facing financial difficulties for some years.
