The precautionary measures imposed in late July banned Bolsonaro from using their social networks or those of third parties, contacting ambassadors and diplomats, and having contact with investigated people. It was also determined that Bolsonaro would have to wear electronic anklet, also having to respect home collection times.
In his decision, Moraes shows how Bolsonaro has burst the ban on using social networks, attaching a series of children’s posts. In one of them, the former president appears sitting in a chair, with a team shirt and anklet showing, while heading to the crowd, at Copacabana beach, in Rio de Janeiro. “Bolsonaro’s words in Copacabana. The caption is with you,” the caption said.
The STF minister stressed that Flavio deleted the post soon after, in “a clear purpose of omitting the breach of the precautionary measures practiced by his father.” Flávio also posted a photo in which he thanked the help of the United States in English. For Moraes, the senator expressed support to the economic sanctions of the US government.
In the minister’s decision, there is also a post by Councilman Carlos Bolsonaro (PL) stating that his audience also follows his father’s account. According to Moraes, Bolsonaro’s children starred in a coordinated action to attack the STF.

Moraes prohibited visits to house arrest, except from lawyers and authorized persons in the file, and vetoed the use of cell phones, directly or through others. The STF minister also stated that the breach of house arrest will result in the decree of pre -trial detention. In a statement early Monday night, the Federal Police reported having complied, late this afternoon, the home arrest warrant and search and seizure of cell phones.
In the initial pages of the decree, Moraes recalled that he had asked Bolsonaro’s defense clarification on the breach of precautionary measures. The minister recalled the episode in which the former president was public to show the electronic anklet and reaffirmed that at no time prohibited him from giving interviews.
The decision makes him the fourth occupant of the maximum position of the country to be arrested since the redemocratization – before him, had the same destination Fernando Collor, Lula (PT) and Michel Temer (MDB). “As several times I pointed out in the presidency of the Superior Electoral Court, the court is blind, but it is not foolish !!!!”, wrote Moraes in the decree of Bolsonaro’s house arrest.
