Announcement was made this Tuesday
The European Union (EU) announced on Tuesday the suspension of retaliation measures against the United States, in response to the customs rates imposed by President Donald Trump.
The decision to adopt the necessary legal measures to suspend the application of EU countermeasures that should be adopted on Thursday occurs after a trade agreement is completed between the two powers in late July.
In recent months, the European Commission has been preparing a list of US products that would be the target of additional tariffs if there had been no advance in negotiations with Washington.
