STF Minister determines the payment of Bolsonaro’s 2nd personal device after breach of precautionary measures and participation in acts against the Court

The PF (Federal Police) seized the personal cell phone of former President Jair Bolsonaro, 70, on Monday (4.2025), when complying with the order of the Supreme Court Minister Alexandre de Moraes, 56. This is the 2nd confiscated device, according to the former president’s interlocutors.

Bolsonaro was already without the 1st cell phone by previous determination and acquired another. The measure meets a decision that recognizes the breach of precautionary measures imposed on Bolsonaro, especially for its remote participation in demonstrations against the Supreme.

In the decision, Moraes points out that Bolsonaro used his cell phone to communicate with protesters in Copacabana, Rio, encouraging coercion to the Supreme Court and the obstruction of justice.

The video of the call, made with the visible electronic anklet, was released by Senator Flávio Bolsonaro, but taken from the internet hours later. In addition to the seizure of the mobile phone, the decision maintains prohibited visits to the former president, except by lawyers or persons authorized by the Supreme.
