From this Tuesday (5) will make a series of projections in buildings and public spaces in Belo Horizonte, Rio de Janeiro, Sao Paulo and Brasilia with messages in defense of the integral veto of the Lula administration to the PL of Devastation PL.
The actions began this Tuesday in Belo Horizonte, with projections at the corner of Rua Bahia with Álvares Cabral.
The next day, it will be the turn of Rua da Consolação with Caio Prado, in São Paulo, as well as an act with artistic interventions.
On Thursday (7), the action will take place at the National Library, in Brasilia, and Friday (8), in Largo da Prainha, in downtown Rio de Janeiro. All projections are scheduled to happen between 19h and 22h.
“These are thousands of bombs about to explode,” says the designed message. “Raids devastated, extinct Atlantic Forest, mud in cities, lives at risk.” There is still a direct appeal to the president: “Disarm this bomb, Lula. Veto everything.”
There is also mobilization by a petition on the Avaaz platform, which brings together more than 60,000 signatures in support of the veto.
“Our goal is to draw attention to the severity of what is at stake. As the pressure from society grows, the federal government has the opportunity to reaffirm its commitment to environmental protection and climate justice,” says Malu Ribeiro, director of public policies at the SOS Mata Atlântica Foundation.
