The United States will impose sanctions on China, India and Brazil to achieve the stopping of combat operations in Ukraine, Matt Whitaker, Ambassador of NATO, told Tuesday for Bloomberg. TASR informs this based on the TASS report.

  • The United States is planning sanctions against China, India, Brazil.
  • The purchase of Russian oil motivates the US to secondary sanctions.
  • Sanctions are intended to intervene the main producers of oil income.
  • Trump announced duties against Russia 100%.

“Secondary sanctions and duties to those who pay for this war – like China, India and Brazil – buying oil produced by Russia are a logical next step to try to end this war,” He said Whitaker. “This will really hit them where it hurts most, in their main source of income, which is the sale of oil to these countries,” added.

Trump 14. July declared that The United States will impose a duties of approximately 100 %on Russia and its business partners unless Moscow within 50 days stops the war against Ukraine. Subsequently, he announced on July 28 that he was planning to shorten this period to ten to 12 days.
