At the same time, yellowish discoloration appears on the upper side of the leaves.

Remember, however, that it will not undo existing damage. Its purpose is to stop the infection and protect healthy parts of the plant.

Prevention is the best way to fight rust. Here are some key rules:

  • Water from below – do not soak the leaves and buds.
  • Regularly cut the bushes – this will improve air circulation.
  • Clean up the fallen leaves – this is a potential source of spores.
  • Use preventive spraying – especially during moist weather.
  • Watch plants – a quick reaction can save the entire bush.

By taking care of the appropriate cultivation conditions, you can effectively reduce the risk of rust of roses in your garden. And when the disease appears after all, you must act quickly and consistently.
