After articulating retaliation from the United States to Brazil, the deputy (-SP) and the former presenter of the young Pan Paulo Figueiredo plan in Europe to seek the minister, (Supreme Court).

According to Figueiredo, the idea is to travel in September to a script that would include: Portugal, Spain, Italy, Belgium, Poland and Hungary. According to him, not all countries need to be visited on the same trip, but the movement to point out what the pair sees as excessive behaviors of Moraes would go through them all.

“We intend to go to the European Parliament and intensify international pressure,” says Figueiredo to Sheet.

Eduardo intends to travel, but has said that he ponders whether he is appropriate for fearing decisions of the STF minister who can arrest him.

“I intend to travel to Europe, go to the European parliament. I already have an invitation made by the Polish parliamentarian. I just have to make sure that I will no longer be a victim of Moraes and make the administrations to find out whether or not interpol is asking for my prison,” Eduardo said on Tuesday (5) in.

The idea of the pair is to ask for sanctions similar to those applied by the US to Moraes claiming that he also hit European citizens. Lieutenant Colonel, who made an award-winning denunciation of the scammer’s investigation, has Portuguese citizenship.

Paulo Figueiredo himself, who is also investigated in the case and had his passport suspended by the STF, also has Portuguese citizenship.

Even before the pockets embark on Europe, a group of right -wing and far right parliamentarians has already moved by aiming at the Supreme Magistrate.

Last week, directist deputies of Foreign Affairs and security policy, block sanctions against Moraes and allies for human rights violations and democratic principles.

As the panel showed, parliamentarians are part of the ECR (European reformists and conservatives) and Patriots for Europe, which have members from various countries. The document is signed by Polish Dominik Tarczynski, a member of the European Parliament, and subscribed by 15 other parliamentarians.

Among the sanctions requested are and “accomplices ministers” of the Supreme Court.

The group also claims that the minister is judging the former president, whom they refer to as “great political enemy” of the STF minister, based on unfounded accusations.

Moraes was targeted by the United States on two fronts: in one had banned the entry into the country by decision of the State Department and, in another,

The standard is used to punish those who commit serious human rights violations and has been used against dictators in the past.

The Secretary of State, Marco Rubio, states that Moraes has committed abuse by authorizing unjust preventive arrests and making decisions that, according to him, undermine freedom of expression.

The magnistky law provides that it can be included in the list of sanctioned those who collaborate with US condemned conduct.

The punished person receives a sanction from OFAC, a foreign asset control office, which belongs to the US Treasury Department.

Through the decision, the US government determines the freezing of any good or asset that the sanctioned person has us and can also ban US financial entities from doing dollar operations with them.

The measure would include the use of MasterCard and Visa credit card flags, for example. The effects on Moraes’ transactions in reais in Brazil are still under bank analysis.

Now,

For now, Figueiredo and Eduardo say they are working with the US government so that no magistrate is punished for now. The plan was to await the repercussion of US retaliation to Brazil in the political class and measure the advance of measures, such as amnesty to pockets-primary demand from Figueiredo and Eduardo, son of the former president who went to the US to articulate measures against STF authorities.

The idea is also to see if the ministers will support Moraes’s decisions.

The European Union is not a signatory to the magnistky law, but has mechanisms of sanctions similar to the norm.
