COLARPINTO, 22, began the 2025 season of Formula 1 as Alpine’s test pilot. After six major awards played, the team decided to give him the place of holder of Australian Jack Doohan from the Emilia-Romagna GP in mid-May.
At first, the Argentine would be for five races until his situation was reevaluated, but he has already played eight stages behind the wheel of Alpine and his best result was 13th place in Canada, without even having added points. The last three tests were not favorable. After leaving in the GP of England, Colapinto was 18th in Belgium and 19th in Hungary. Franco Colapinto debuted in Formula 1 a year ago in August 2024, replacing the American Logan Sargeant at Williams. He was able to score in his second GP, in Azerbaijan (8th), his best result in the category.
