São Paulo records more than 24 thousand occurrences with scorpions

The State of São Paulo recorded 24,366 accidents involving scorpions with a death this year. The data are from the panel of monitoring accidents by venomous animals of the State Department of Health (SES), which warns the population to increase cases.

A, with 21,077 of the recorded cases. The municipality with the highest number of occurrences was Ribeirão Preto, with 1,001 cases, followed by São José do Rio Preto, with 903 occurrences. In third place appears Piracicaba, with 802 accidents involving scorpions. The state capital recorded 268 cases.

The folder also recalls that not every hospital or health unit has serum for accidents with venomous animals. It is important to verify which health unit is closer to this type of care.
