Actor Dean Cain, known for playing Superman in the series “Lois & Clark: the new superman adventures” in the 1990s, he announced that he enlisted himself in the United States Immigration and Customs Service (ICE) to support President Donald Trump’s anti-immigration agenda.
In an interview with Fox News on Wednesday night (6), Cain stated that he was already adjunct sheriff and reserve police, but was not part of ICE. He said he decided to join the agency after a video of his own, in which he invites American citizens to enlist on Ice, viralize on social networks on Tuesday (5).
“I talked to some Ice officers and I will be sworn in as ICE agent as soon as possible,” said the actor.

Cain stated that the United States were built by “patriots” who did “the right thing” and believes that enlisting themselves in Ice is precisely “the right thing.” He added that the US immigration system is “bankrupt.” “Congress needs to solve this, but meanwhile, President Trump campaigned on this. He is fulfilling this promise. That’s why people voted for him. That’s why I voted for him, and he’ll take it ahead – and I’m going to do my part to help ensure that it happens.”
The actor also stated that he expects other former ICE police and former agents to mobilize to help reach the agency’s recruitment target.
The British newspaper The Guardian reported that the ICE recently received $ 7.5 billion in extra financing through the one Big Beautiful Bill, Trump’s fiscal megaproject approved by the US representatives in early July. Part of the amount must be directed to hiring another 10,000 agents by 2029.
Continues after advertising
The agency has increasingly carried out operations against immigrants since Trump’s reelection, with the aim of performing at least 3,000 arrests per day. ICE actions have caused protests in the country, such as those registered in California in June, which resulted in clashes between protesters and police.
Last month, on the eve of the release of the new Superman movie, Cain had already been involved in controversy in saying that the feature film was “Woke” after director James Gunn said the superhero was an immigrant.
