The governor of, should visit the former president, in house arrest, after lunch on Thursday (7). The chief executive of São Paulo obtained authorization from the minister, (STF), for the meeting in Brasilia.

Tarcisio began the day in the federal capital, at a ceremony for promoting general officers of the Aman (Military Academy of Negras) class. By 11:30 am, the agenda was over, and it was expected that soon after the governor was meeting the former president.

The visit’s authorization came shortly after Bolsonaro’s lawyers agreed with requests for a visit to the former president by the Paulista Governor, the deputy governor of the Federal District, Celina Leão (PP) and four names-three deputies and a businessman. The former president, who has been under house arrest since Monday (4), declared “interest in receiving the visits of all indicated people.”

To this end, Tarcisio pledged to follow all the determinations established by the STF at the meeting – such as the ban on the use of cell phones and recordings, for example. The governor pointed out that “political-institutional and humanitarian reasons” justify the request for a visit and stressed that he is Bolsonaro’s “co-religionist and friend”.
