Cocaine transported by boat to Santa Rosa do Purus is seized by PM

On the night of Wednesday (6) an action of the Military Police, detachment of Santa Rosa, prevented the entry of narcotics in the municipality. In all, 223 grams of a whitish substance appeared to be cocaine.

According to information, the PMs caught a suspicious man in the port of Santa Rosa do Purus, where the boarding and disembarking of people and goods commonly occurs. At one point, this individual received a package and hid in his garments. Noticing the police approach, those involved tried to escape, but were reached. In addition to the boy who received the package, two other individuals were also taken to the police station.

The cocaine packages that weighed 223 grams probably left from Urbano Manoel to Santa Rosa on a vessel. “The action reaffirms the commitment of the Military Police in combating drug trafficking and preserving public order,” says a statement from the PM.
