Culture and entertainment Grodzisk Mazowiecki - for five days the capital of world cultures! See photos from the event

During the five-day event, bands from India, Tahiti, Costa Rica, France/Brazil and Poland presented themselves, presenting various forms of cultural expression: from dance and musical performances, through workshops and meetings, to joint actions with residents.

On the main stage in the Skarbków Park there were:

  • Bollywood Masala Orchestra (India) – a band combining music, dance and circus elements,
  • Rey Curré (Costa Rica) – presenting the traditions of the indigenous people of Central America,
  • Les Batuc’ados (France/Brazil) – youth percussion with the influence of the Caribbean and African rhythms,
  • ZTL “Pruszkowiacy” (Poland) – representing the rich tradition of Polish folklore.

The stage events were accompanied by numerous attractions: the ceremonial unveiling of the festival mural at ul. Szczerkowski and Teliga in Grodzisk Mazowiecki, dance dance in the park, the colorful parade of the world culture festival through the streets of the city and joint dance of residents as part of the “Festival Dance Challenge”. The unveiling of the mural is a permanent tradition of the world culture festival – an inseparable element of each edition of this unique event. Every year a new, unique work is created, which not only honor the urban space, but also symbolically commemorates the subject of the event. This year, the mural presents the Dancing Slavic couple.

The highlight of the festival was a spectacular final concert in the Caiis sports and entertainment hall in Grodzisk Mazowiecki.

We are really happy that we can draw from other cultures and learn from each other

– Tomasz Krupski, mayor of Grodzisk Mazowiecki, said during the final of the festival.

The offer we proposed turned out to be attractive to families not only from Grodzisk Mazowiecki, but also from all over the region and even from Poland. The festival in Grodzisk Mazowiecki confirmed its rank as an event promoting openness, intercultural dialogue and the active participation of the local community

He added.

A beautiful surprise for the audience gathered during the final was the joint dance of festival bands from India, Tahiti, Costa Rica, France/Brazil and Poland for the song Luc & Rebel Babel Film Orchestra Ft. Kayah, Song Laboratory – Autumn – Dance – from the movie “Peasants”. Common dance is a symbol of the unity of cultures, mutual respect and international cooperation. This is an artistic meeting of various dance and musical traditions, which – despite different roots – can create a coherent, moving story, and all this in front of the audience in Grodzisk Mazowiecki.

All events within the world culture festival were free and available to a wide audience. See you next year! Photos from the event can be viewed on the profiles: and
