Singer Sean “Diddy” Combs, 55, is planning an apotheotic return to the stage when leaving jail, as one of his lawyers said in an interview with CBS Mornings. The American hip-hop tycoon would have even chosen the venue of the show: the traditional Madison Square Garden in New York, United States.
“He didn’t speak [sobre voltar a fazer música]. One thing he said is that he will return to Madison Square Garden on stage, “said Marc Agnifilo, who is part of the Diddy’s defense team.
The lawyer also told journalist Jerick Duncan that the rapper has plans to be with his family and take care of his family.
Last month, a jury sentenced Combs for two minor transport charges to engage in prostitution and acquitted the hip-hop typ-hop of the most serious accusations-conspiracy for extortion (referred to as rich) and sexual trafficking. Combs faced life imprisonment. Instead, it now faces a maximum penalty of 20 years – although, according to legal analysts, it will probably serve a shorter sentence.
Combs has been detained at the Metropolitan Detent Center in Brooklyn since his arrest in Manhattan in September 2024. The judge denied him bail several times.
The Comb defense had asked the court to release it on a bail of $ 50 million (about $ 275 million). They argued that he is not a danger to the community and is no risk of escape. A motion is still pending asking the judge to fully acquit Combs or grant him a new judgment.
