How perfect should be ? Of course, soft and fluffy, but it cannot crumble, it must have a rather compact consistency and noticeable sweetness. Even better when it smells of vanilla. This is what the yeast without milk and eggs comes out.

In this recipe for yeast, milk is replaced with a plant drink. You don’t have to heat it specifically, all you have to do is have room temperature, just like the other ingredients. Eggs are also “replaced” by the structure of the entire recipe – fat and the right amount of liquid, sugar and yeast.

What ingredients do we need to make yeast dough without milk and eggs? Here is the list:

  • 500 g of wheat flour;
  • 250 ml of a vegetable drink, e.g. oat, almond or soy drink;
  • 80 g of plant margarine;
  • 50 g of fresh yeast;
  • 6 tablespoons of cane sugar;
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract;
  • A pinch of salt.

To start with, pour vegetable milk into a large bowl. Add crushed yeast, sugar and 1 tablespoon of wheat flour to it. Mix everything and let stand for 5 minutes.

In the meantime, heat the margarine so that it melts. Set aside to cool – it must have room temperature. Then add it to the ingredients in a bowl. Also add remaining wheat flour, vanilla extract and a pinch of salt.

Start kneading the dough by hand or with a mixture with a hook for about 10 minutes. It must have a smooth and uniform consistency. In this step, you can also add raisins, chocolate pieces or nuts to the mass.

Cover the made dough with a cloth and set aside to rise for 30 minutes in a warm place – then it will double its volume. Make the grown mass into a bakeplate previously smeared with margarine. Cover it again and leave it for 20 minutes. During this time, heat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius.

Brush the top of the yeast with a plant drink, put it in a preheated oven and Bake for about 45-50 minutes until it becomes golden color.

Yeast dough without milk and eggs, it is worth pouring icing or sprinkled with powdered sugar. You can eat them right away, but it also tastes good the second day.
