The president of the Chamber of Deputies, Hugo Motta (Republicans-PB), met separately with the opposition to try to end the protest that wages the work in the house.

The meeting on Wednesday (6) ended without resolution, as the president of Casa Baixa resists the demands of the opposition “forcibly” so as not to open precedents.

Hugo Motta’s argument did not leave the opposition leaders satisfied. They claim that the same type of pressure worked in the case of the hunger strike led by Deputy Glauber Braga (PSOL-RJ), the target of cassation process.

After the meeting, the opposition leader in the House, Zucco (PL-RS), said Motta’s meeting took place with much respect, but without a result. “We will remain politically waiting for this more frank and purposeful dialogue,” he told reporters. “We will only leave this plenary after the amnesty [ser] guided ”.

Opposition deputies and senators continue to occupy the Board of Directors of the House plenary as part of the strategy to lock the work of the National Congress. Parliamentarians protest against the decision of Minister Alexandre de Moraes who decreed the house arrest of former President Jair Bolsonaro.
