About the Toronto Masters 1000 Tournament
The Masters 1000 of Toronto 2025 takes place between July 27 and August 7, in Canada. This tournament is the sixth event of the ATP 1000 series in the men’s circuit season and is of great importance as a preparation for US Open, the fourth and last Grand Slam of the year.
With a long tradition in the tennis calendar, the Canadian competition had its first edition in 1881. Since the beginning of the open era, in 1968, the biggest champion of the tournament is Czech Ivan Lendl, who raised the trophy six times.
The most recent title belongs to Australian Alexei Popyrin, who surprised the circuit by winning in 2024 and securing the biggest feat of his career until then.
