Polish President Karol Nawrocki appointed the leadership of the Presidential Office, Cabinet and National Security Office (BBN) on Thursday. He placed the office of Zbigniew Bogucky, the Cabinet will lead Pawel Szefernaker and the new BBN chief became Slawomir Cenckiewicz. Informs Warsaw Newsletter TASR.
Nawrocki: Szefernaker is a new generation politician
The Presidential Office provides administrative and legislative support for the head of the state. The cabinet acts as an advisory body of the President. The National Security Office is a separate department through which the President exercises his powers in the field of security. It also provides the activities of the National Security Council in which the highest constitutional officials are represented.
Nawrocki described Szefernaker as a new generation policy. The head of the President’s Cabinet is a deputy and former chairman of the Youth Organization of Law and Justice (PiS). He also worked briefly as the Minister of the Interior in the government of Mateusz Morawiecký. At the same time, the President called on him to continue his pursuit of freedom and democracy in Poland after the election campaign.
Nawrocki on Cenckiewicz Veľmi Spolieha
At the address of the chairman of the BBN Cenciawicz, the President said it was a person who has served the truth, national memory and security of Poland all his life. He added that he was very relied on him on security issues and expressed his belief that history would remember Cenciawicza.
The annual budget of the Presidential Office for 2025 is 312 million zloty (about 73 million euros). In 2022, it had 427 employees and managed several buildings in Warsaw, including four presidential residences deployed in Poland.
