E and announced, on Wednesday (6), that they will join the obstruction led by the opposition in the House of Representatives and the Federal Senate, in protest to the arrest of the former president (PL). “Faced with the legitimate obstruction movement made by the opposition, the Progressive Union Federation guided the bench not to record in plenary today in both houses,” says the text.
“We continue to defend dialogue as the only possible way to find solutions that return the normality of the work in the National Congress. Brazil needs to turn this page and focus on agendas that solve the economic, social and insecurity problems of our country,” continues the note, signed by the presidents of the two parties, Antonio de Rueda, from União Brasil, and, PP.
On Tuesday (5), when oppositionists occupied the board of directors of the two houses of the National Congress so that nothing was voted, the president of the PL talked with party presidents. The first were Rueda and Nogueira. “The idea is to know if we are 130 deputies and 20 senators,” said PL leader in the House of Representatives, Sostenes Cavalcante (RJ). “Let’s organize things to know the size we’ll form.”
