The USGS (Geological Service of the United States) released images showing the Kilauea volcano in Hawaii, erupting on Wednesday (6).
The videos, closely and from above, recorded the smoke.

Geologists could be seen collecting data, including a helicopter flight to the bottom of the volcano to collect lava samples for chemical analysis.
It continued for several hours during the day.
There are no records of dead or injured.
