In the request sent to the Ratton Palace, the President of the Republic requested the preventive inspection of the constitutionality of the rules on the right to family regrouping and conditions for their exercise, the deadline for assessment of requests by the agency for migrations and asylum (AIMA) and the right to appeal.
The Constitutional Court will announce at 17:00 this Friday the decision on the Decree of Parliament that amends the legal regime of entry, permanence, departure and removal of foreigners from the national territory.
In a note sent to the press, the Constitutional Court (TC) Office of External Relations indicates that the announcement will be made at a press conference in the Ratton Palace Public Acts room in Lisbon at 17:00.
A TC’s decision arises after the President of the Republic requested the preventive inspection of this Decree on July 24, having asked the TC to utter “urgently”, ie within 15 days, which ends today.
O Decree was approved on July 16 at the Assembly of the Republic, with the favorable votes of PSD, arrives and CDS-PP, abstention from IL and votes against PS, Free, PCP, BE, PAN and JPP.
