Rede CooperaCre consolidates as a reference in Bioeconomics in the Amazon and receives presidential visit in Acre

The Central Extractive Trading Cooperative of Acre (Cooperacre) will be one of the highlights of the presidential agenda in Acre, this Friday, August 8. Present in 20 of the 22 Acre municipalities, Cooperacre today represents the largest productive arrangement of sociobioeconomics in the state and throughout the Amazon, connecting more than 5,000 agro -extractive families in an integrated network of sustainable production, processing and marketing.

The visit of the President of the Republic marks the recognition of the 24 -year trajectory of Cooperacre, which has been acting as a link between the forest and the market, adding value to community production and promoting productive inclusion, food security and income generation. With a socio -productive basis composed of singular cooperatives that operate in conservation units, such as extractive reserves and public forests, as well as settlements and land reform territories, the network has a direct impact on environmental conservation and facing climate change.

Sustainable Development Model and Social Inclusion

With democratic governance and strong socio-environmental commitment, the cooperation boosts productive chains such as Brazil nuts, natural rubber, tropical fruits, pupunha palm, robust coffee and soon native cocoa. Production is marketed both in the local and drained market for the domestic and international market, with exports already carried out to 10 countries.

Currently, the network directly benefits about 5,350 agro -extractive families, including cooperatives and suppliers, promoting productive inclusion and strengthening of the community economy in forest territories. The cooperative’s performance generates approximately 300 direct and 200 indirect jobs, consolidating itself as a vector of local development with social justice. In the environmental field, Cooperacre positively impacts an estimated area of 5 million hectares, through sustainable management practices and regenerative production systems, combining biodiversity conservation with income generation.

Strategic investments and innovation in bioindustry

During the presidential visit, will be presented the new agro -industry of tropical fruits, located in Rio Branco. With an investment of R $ 60 million in its own resources, the industrial plant will be able to process up to 10 million pounds of pulp per year from 10 Amazonian species. The unit is scheduled to go into operation in January 2026, directly benefiting about 5,000 families in the region.

The great differential of agro -industry lies in the adoption of multifruta extraction technology with aseptic filling, which preserves the nutritional and sensory attributes of fruits, ensuring validity of up to 24 months without conservative use or need for refrigeration. This innovation expands the competitiveness of cooperation in demanding markets, reduces logistics losses and adds value to family production.

Institutional partnerships and structuring public policies

Throughout its history, Cooperacre has been consolidating itself as a strategic partner of various public policies and federal programs, such as the Food Acquisition Program (PAA), the National School Feeding Program (PNAE), Pronaf Agroindustry and initiatives aimed at agrarian reform. It is also a beneficiary of important state policies to support land regularization, productive infrastructure and technical qualification.

Nationally recognized with the Somoscoop Award in 2022, CooperaCre maintains partnerships with institutions such as BNDES/Amazon Fund, Banco do Brasil Foundation, Apexbrasil, ABDI, Embrapa, Sebrae and OCB/Sescoop system, among others. The articulation with social movements and community organizations, such as the National Council of Extractive Populations (CNS), further strengthens its performance in promoting low carbon economy and high social inclusion.

Future Vision: Expansion with sustainability

Based on its 2023 Strategic Plan, Cooperacre projects to expand its infrastructure through a structuring investment portfolio. Among the planned actions are the implementation of new raw material beneficiation units, the construction of a solar power plant and the creation of agro-extractive houses-specialized direct care centers for producing families.

The goal is to qualify production, expand income and consolidate the network as one of the main engines of sustainable bioeconomics in the Amazon.
