If you have a garden and at least one shrub of black currant on it, you are a lucky man. This small, deep purple berry is not only tasty, but also incredibly healthy. And yet a lot of people still perceive it as a raw material for jam or syrup. You can include blackcurrants in a much easier way – and above all tasty. Small berries, a large portion of vitamins
Blackcurrant is literally charged with vitamin C, in a quantity that overcomes several times. All you need is a handful of these berries and you have a recommended daily dose. Breakfast that will charge you with energy
If you do not have time for a complicated breakfast in the morning, but do not want to remove your body with empty calories, try adding blackcurrant to white yogurt or cottage cheese. Just add a few tablespoons of granola, a teaspoon of honey and get a fresh and light meal that feeds and at the same time gives the body a good dose of vitamins. It is also great for smoothie – in combination with banana, kefir and oatmeal, you create an excellent breakfast bomb.
A dessert that is not a sin
You can easily use blackcurrants in desserts. Add it to the fruit cake, freeze it to homemakers, or simply crush it with cottage cheese and honey. Its naturally acidic taste is perfectly balanced by sweet ingredients and the desserts are not unnecessarily sweetened. In addition, thanks to the high fiber content, it will feed and support digestion.
Black -boring yoghurt cup with honey and nuts
Raw materials:
- 250 g of fresh blackcurrant
- 500 g of white Greek yogurt
- 2-3 tablespoons of honey
- 2 tablespoons of roughly chopped walnuts
- 1 tablespoon of cane sugar
- a few leaves of mint to decorate
Procedure::
Clean the currants, wash it and drain. If it is sour, you can gently sprinkle it with a little cane sugar and let it rest for 10 minutes to let go of the juice. Divide a layer of Greek yogurt into glasses or bowls. Add the currant layer and drizzle it with a spoon of honey. Sprinkle with walnuts on top and add a few oat or granol flakes if you want an extra crispy texture. Decorate with a leaf of fresh mint. Serve immediately or allow to cool in the refrigerator.
