A tragic accident took the life of Marcone da Silva Cardoso, 26, and Adriana Machado Ribeiro, 42, at dawn on Monday (4), in Venda Nova do Imigrante, in the mountainous region of Espírito Santo. The car where the couple was plummeted from a wall of about 400 meters high in a place known for being a free flight ramp.
According to the Civil Police, residents heard a strong noise around 2:20 am. The homemade of the property reported that, due to the darkness, could not identify what had happened at the moment. At dawn, the vehicle was located in the middle of the vegetation.

The impact was so violent that the couple’s bodies were ejected from the car, falling outside the vehicle. According to the military, the first shock occurred against a stone more than 100 meters high, before the total fall.

Marcone’s brother said the couple had gone out to date after attending a party in a neighboring municipality. The fall area in the Tapera region is known by the stone wall and is used to practice extreme sports. Adriana was from Venda Nova do Imigrante and mother of two. Marcone had dated about six months ago. He, born in Belo Horizonte (MG), lived in the municipality of Espírito Santo and worked as a machine operator.
Fire Department teams had to make a trail to reach Adriana’s body, which was in a steep part of the terrain. Marcone’s body was found at the base of the wall. The car was totally destroyed.
