IL available to “participate in a possible majority of 2/3 for the approval of the diploma, if the amended proposal will raise politically motivated reserves by the Constitutional Court again”.
The liberal initiative (IL) is available to “negotiate an urgent and rigorous solution” to overcome any impasse in the Foreign Law by the Constitutional Court (TC), the party president announced Saturday.
In a letter sent to Carlos Abreu Amorim, Minister of Parliamentary Affairs, to which Lusa had access, Mariana Leitão proposes to dialogue with the Executive to get an urgent and rigorous solution ”of the law that, with the“ lead ”of the TC and the veto of the President of the Republic-who maintains about the law-not in force and has to be discussed and voted in Parliament.
Mariana Leitão writes, in the letter, that to exceed an eventual “undesirable situation of impasse”IL manifests its “opening to negotiate an urgent, rigorous and proper procedural guarantees.

The law now spoiled by the TC judges was passed on July 16 in the Assembly of the Republic, with the Favorable PSD votes, arrives and CDS-PP, the abstention of IL and votes against PS, free, PCP, BE, Pan and JPP.
