For the whole of Bratislava, there is a warning to the smog situation for the ground floor ozone. The information threshold for the ground floor ozone was exceeded on Mamatey and Jeséniova Street and also in Vlčov. The Slovak Hydrometeorological Institute (SHMI) informed about it on its website.

  • Bratislava is facing a smog situation for the ground floor ozone.
  • SHMI reports exceeding the ozone information threshold.
  • The risk is at risk of older, pregnant and asthmatics.
  • It is recommended to limit your stay and physical activity.

According to SHMI, old people, persons with respiratory and cardiovascular diseases, allergy sufferers and asthmatics, very young children and pregnant women, are among the most sensitive groups of the population population. Sensitive persons may experience irritation of eyes, nose and throat, feeling of breast pressure, cough and headache. In asthmatics may cause seizures and symptoms of airway irritation. The experts approached.

They therefore recommend limiting the time outdoors, shortening the ventilation of living rooms, limiting physical exertion outdoors (physical work, sports activities) and not to carry out activities that leak other pollutants into the airfor example, painting, gluing, grinding, dusting, smoking or free combustion.
