Seven aircraft, characterized by the yellow color, are currently stopped at Leite Lopes Airport, located in Ribeirão Preto,. The suspension of the company’s activities occurred after ANAC revokes the company’s air operator certificate. VOEPASS was the operator of ATR 72-500 who crashed in Vineyard on August 9, 2024, resulting in the deaths of 62 people, making her the most serious air tragedy of since 2007.

With the interruption of Voepass operations, their routes were rapidly absorbed by other major airlines in Brazil. At Cascavel airport in Paraná, Gol and Latam make three daily flights to Guarulhos. In Ribeirão Preto, the same companies took over the flights to Congonhas, while the route to it has not yet been occupied by any company.

Anac clarified that, after the suspension of an airline, there is no automatic redistribution of the routes. On the day of the accident, Voepass operated 53 flights to 17 different airports. The slots that the company had in Congonhas were transferred to other companies, such as Azul, Gol and Latam, which are adapting to the new reality of the market.

Latam, in turn, is planning an expansion of its routes, including new calls from Congonhas Airport. Gol is also making adjustments to its operations, taking advantage of the new available slots. Azul, however, has not provided information about its future plans regarding the routes that are now available.
