The Ukrainian President, rejected formally part of the AO territory. Zelensky also criticized the planned summit between the president of, and Russian President Vladimir Putin, warning that any peace agreement that excludes Kiev would lead to “dead solutions.” The meeting between Trump and Putin, scheduled for next Friday (15) in Alaska, is seen as a potential advance. The US president had previously agreed to meet Putin, even if the Russian leader did not meet Zelensky, feeding fears that Ukraine could be aside in efforts to stop the conflict.

In a statement on Telegram, Zelensky said the territorial integrity of Ukraine, enshrined in the Constitution, should be non -negotiable and emphasized that lasting peace should include Ukraine’s voice on the table. He also said that Ukraine “will not give Russia any prize for what she has done” and that “the Ukrainians will not give their land to the occupant.” According to the Ukrainian President, any decision that is made without Ukraine is, “at the same time, a decision against peace,” as it will not bring an effective resolution to the conflict. Ukrainian authorities had previously said that Kiev would accept a peace agreement that actually recognized Ukraine’s inability to recover militarily lost territories.
